There appears to be a report that Manchester United and Chelsea are contemplating an unusual deal to swap Alejandro Garnacho with Christopher Nkunku.
Neither player has found his rhythm this season, and both have been linked with leaving their respective clubs.
A report by Mail Sport on Thursday indicated that Chelsea would formally make an offer for Garnacho; they feel they have a good chance as Napoli is focused on other prospects, such as Borussia Dortmund ace Karim Adeyemi.
Chelsea approached the player about a deal last week, while United hopes to recess the figure to £65 million as they look to sell Garnacho.
However, no final decision regarding a possible swap between Nkunku and Garnacho has been made by either United or Chelsea, although this was discussed by Florian Plettenberg.
Garnacho’s agents were at the Chelsea vs Wolves match on Monday; Carlos Cambeiro and Quique de Lucas are happy to have their client in London.
On the other hand, according to Mail Sport, Chelsea wants in excess of £6 million if Nkunku was to leave for the month.
Since they have similar price tags, a swap deal becomes all the more interesting.
The two players have together scored five goals this season in the Premier League; Nkunku has scored 2 goals while Garnacho has scored 3 goals.
