Former Real Madrid player Rafael van der Vaart has named Real Madrid as the team that every player dreams of playing for.

According to the former Dutch star, even players from Los Blancos’ rivals who play for Barcelona see Real Madrid as a dream to wear their jersey, admitting that he does not understand the reason behind this.

Van der Vaart spent two seasons at Real Madrid, scoring 12 goals in 73 appearances.

Real Madrid is the team that everyone wants to play for; I don’t know the reason for that, but I do know that even Barcelona players love it.

“Every player in the world wants to play for Real Madrid. I am 100% sure of that,” Van der Vaart told TalkSport.

The Dutch star won the Supercopa de España with Los Blancos, but he failed to win the La Liga title.
